SLEEVE
GENERAL The fabricated sleeve will ensure a 360 degree seal around the pipe under working pressures up to 250 psi. It will accommodate the equipment and fixtures to drill the pipe and install the valve assembly without any interruption in water service.
MATERIALS Made of 304L Stainless Steel Per ASTM A240. Chemically passivated for corrosion protection. Machined neck ID for tight plug seal.
FLANGE Cast stainless steel. O-RIng EPDM rubber, 70 durometer, NSF61 certified.
BOLTS AND NUTS 304 stainless steel bolts and nuts meeting ASTM A276. Type 316 stainless fasteners available as an option.
LUGS Sleeve sidebar lugs will properly align the sleeve halves during installation, provide a bolting surface, and assure a 360-degree seal. The lugs will prevent excessive stress on the pipe and minimize distortion of flexible (PVC) pipe.
MAT GASKETS Made of Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) compounded for potable water service in accordance with ASTM D2000 and NSF61 certified. The gaskets provide a positive 360-degree seal on the pipe and assure a tight, durable, and resilient seal.
ARMORS Heavy gauge type 304 stainless steel armor plates.
COVER PLATE ASTM A36 mild steel. Coated with NSF61 certified fusion bonded epoxy per AWWA C213.
CROSS PINS Type 416 stainless steel, heat treated for strength.
CROSS PIN AND COVER PLATE O-RINGS EPDM rubber, 70 durometer, NSF 61 certified.
CORP STOP 3/4 IP x 3/4 IP corp. stop, ball type, no lead.

VALVE ASSEMBLY
GENERAL The IVS 2.0™ insertion valve is designed to be installed under pressure and under flow conditions without any interruption of water service. The IVS 2.0™ acts as a water control device giving an effective shutoff of the flow of water. Designed for 250 psi maximum working pressure, 375 psi test on 10 and 12” pipe including cast iron, ductile iron, C900 PVC, IPS PVC, AC and steel. The IVS 2.0 valve is actuated without the need for a gearbox and uses the standard number of turns to close per AWWA C509/C515.
PLUG Plug Body is Ductile Iron per ASTM A536 65-45-12. Coated with liquid epoxy. Expanding main seal NBR-75 shore A rubber. NSF-61 certified.
VALVE STEM AND STEM NUT Manufactured of high strength bronze suitable for valve stems and nuts.
BOLTS AND NUTS Type 304 stainless steel bolts, nuts, and washers. Type 316 stainless steel bolts, nuts, and washers optional.
